Subject	wastegate solenoids

Message	I have replaced almost every vacuum line but I'm confused about wastegate solenoids. I have a 1996 TT with an HKS evc that is hooked up and working correctly but I still have WG solenoids on the car. The nipple closest to the barrel has a hose going to intake pipe but the second nipple is capped (both sides) My question is can they be eliminated completely. OBDII????
